“It is not our achievements that count the most. It is not the sum of our individual outputs that makes the world a great place. Rather, it is the redistribution of love, care, service, and support that makes the world a better place.”
— Timothy Selikem Donkor
Hailing from Adaklu-Anfoe in Ghana’s Volta Region, Timothy Selikem Donkor embodies the power of perseverance, service, and community support. Though he traces his roots patrilineally to Adaklu-Anfoe, Timothy was raised in Ho with his parents and two siblings — a city where his journey toward excellence quietly began.
Timothy’s academic brilliance shone early at Ho-Kpodzi E.P. Primary School. Recognizing his potential, his father transferred him in 2009 to the better-resourced Mawuli Junior High School. From there, he advanced to Tema Secondary School, where he received numerous academic awards and graduated in 2013.
With dreams of becoming a professor, Timothy entered the University of Ghana, where a deep curiosity led him to study Philosophy. In 2017, he graduated summa cum laude, earning First Class Honours and emerging as the best graduating student in his class. He then served as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Philosophy before enrolling at the University of Ghana School of Law for a 3-year law degree.
After gaining admission to the Ghana School of Law in 2021, Timothy was officially called to the Bar in 2023. His scholarly ambitions, however, never faded. For a brief period, he practiced as a lawyer in the areas of human rights and constitutional law with Merton & Everett LLP, one of Ghana’s promising law firms.
In service to national accountability, he also volunteered with social justice movements, including FixTheCountry and DemocracyHub. In 2024, Timothy returned to his home region to offer free legal support to underprivileged individuals facing criminal and human rights cases. One of his most remarkable achievements was the successful legal representation of 23 ECG customers in Ho, whose power supply had been unjustly disconnected due to unlawful billing.
This season of public service came to an end in March 2025 when Timothy received life-changing news: his admission to Harvard Law School — a historic milestone in his academic and professional journey.

“My journey to Harvard wouldn’t have been possible without the timely and substantial support from the Rebecca Agroh Memorial Foundation,” Timothy reflects. “That support remains a constant reminder that giving back to society is the truest and noblest duty of every person.”
At the Rebecca Agroh Memorial Foundation (RAMF), we are honored to have played a small role in Timothy’s remarkable story — a story that proves how targeted support can create ripples of impact across generations and communities.
We celebrate Timothy’s achievements and look forward to all he will accomplish at Harvard and beyond. His story is a beacon of what is possible when compassion meets opportunity.
